In a grand celebration of maritime excellence, Marina Kornati played host to the 25th Biograd Boat Show, a milestone event organized and orchestrated by Ilirija d.d. This annual spectacle stands as the largest nautical fair in Central Europe and Croatia, proudly holding the prestigious status of a gold member of IFBSO, an association uniting 36 prominent global nautical fairs.
With a remarkable 66-year history and over 46 years dedicated to nautical passion, Ilirija d.d. has been a trailblazer in Croatia’s nautical tourism development. Over four decades ago, they constructed the country’s first purpose-built port for nautical tourism, establishing Biograd as the cradle of nautical tourism in Croatia. Today, thanks to Ilirija’s ongoing commitment, Biograd ranks as the third most visited nautical port on the Croatian Adriatic.
More than just a nautical fair, the Biograd Boat Show transcends expectations, serving as a rendezvous for leading manufacturers, traders, boating enthusiasts, and professional organizations. The event features a captivating display of vessels at sea and exhibitor stands lining the piers in Croatia’s third-largest marina.
The 25th Biograd Boat Show shattered records with over 400 exhibitors, showcasing around 400 vessels up to 24 meters in length and introducing over 40 premiere vessels. The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Josip Bilaver, State Secretary of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, with key figures from the Croatian Chamber of Economy, local government, and tourism present.
Under the theme of “4-in-1 fair,” the Biograd Boat Show incorporates exhibition, congress, charter, and B2B components. It encompasses the exhibition fair, the 7th annual Croatian Nautical Days, the 5th annual Croatian Charter Expo, and the Biograd B2B business fair.
Boasting over 400 exhibitors from around the globe, the exhibition fair showcases more than 40 premieres from 30 companies. Noteworthy vessels include the Aquitalia 78, EVO R+ by Frattin Group, and the Prestige X60 motor yacht by Euromarine. The event also highlights innovative products, such as IZOXECO technology, which transforms non-recyclable plastic into construction materials.
The congress fair, organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, hosts the 7th HGK Croatian Nautical Days, providing valuable insights into the future of nautical tourism in Croatia. Simultaneously, the Biograd B2B platform facilitates business networking opportunities.
In parallel with the nautical fair, the Croatia Charter Expo, the world’s largest charter fleet, and the Biograd B2B nautical business platform enhance the overall experience. These components offer a unique opportunity for business visitors to engage in networking events and schedule meetings with companies of interest.
As the legendary entertainment program unfolds, attendees can enjoy seven live performances, evening events, and a stellar lineup featuring Giuliano & Diktatori and TBF (The Beat Fleet). The Biograd Boat Show, supported by Ilirija d.d., national and county structures, the City of Biograd na Moru, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and the Croatian National Tourist Board, stands as a pinnacle event in Croatia’s nautical industry and tourism landscape, showcasing the best of the country’s maritime offerings.
